What is the Femmes en Montagne Festival?
Women’s PassionThe Femmes en montagne Festival, taking place from November 13 to 16, 2025, in Annecy, celebrates women who share a passion for the mountains through cinema.
On the program: film screenings, talks, workshops, and inspiring discussions around sports, adventure, and equality.
This event highlights female directors, athletes, and explorers, featuring a selection of powerful films where women take center stage — both in front of and behind the camera.
Open to everyone, the festival is also available online, allowing audiences everywhere to discover these strong and inspiring stories.
An event that fully embodies Châtel’s values: passion, self-challenge, and respect for the mountains.
Supporting and Showcasing Female Athletes
In Châtel, we support many female athletes in their sporting journeys. We believe in their potential and aim to provide them with every opportunity to grow and perform at the highest level.
Whether it’s Jade Grillet-Aubert in ski cross, Camille Bened in biathlon, or Makayla Gerken-Schofield in mogul skiing, each embodies in her own way the passion and excellence that make our region renowned.

Originally from the Vallée d’Abondance and a member of the French ski mountaineering team, Louise Trincaz is a true source of pride for our village.
Her impressive record is a testament to her talent and determination:
– 4-time French Champion (sprint, relay, individual, and vertical)
– European Champion in Mixed Relay
– European Vice-Champion (Individual)
– 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal in the Youth World Cup
– Winner of the Youth World Cup Overall Ranking
Competing under the colors of Châtel, Louise embodies the values of perseverance, passion, and excellence that inspire our community.
She was also present at one of the workshops during the 2024 Women in the Mountains Festival, sharing her experience and inspiring those who dream of following in her footsteps.
