Access to Pré la Joux by shuttle bus only or on skis

Last February 9, a significant rockfall occurred at Très-les-Pierres, along the access road to Pré la Joux. Several hundred cubic meters of rock fell just a few meters from homes and the road.

An immediate assessment carried out by experts identified a high risk of further rockfalls in the area.

All necessary measures were then taken to secure the perimeter and allow for a controlled reopening of traffic:

  • Installation of a radar monitoring system to track changes in the rock face.
  • Implementation of temporary protective structures, including the installation of concrete blocks positioned uphill from the buildings and the road.

Thanks to these monitoring and protection measures, the road to Pré la Joux is now accessible again under controlled conditions to limit risks. It is possible to reach Pré la Joux by road using the free shuttle buses, which will run more frequently between Linga and Pré-la-Joux from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This will be the only way to reach Pré la Joux by road; no cars are currently allowed to drive on the RD228a.

Parking and traffic arrangements within the resort have therefore been redesigned and adapted to offer the best possible stay despite this unprecedented event.

Discover below everything we have put in place, along with our recommendations for getting around during your stay.
