UCI Snow Bike World Championships
The UCI Snow Bike World Championships 2026 take place in Châtel! This will be the third edition of the Championships and also the third consecutive year that the event will be held in Châtel, following the success of the first two editions.
Description
An extraordinary day and a sensational event not to be missed!
Inspired by alpine skiing, the event will feature two fast, technical formats:
- At 10 a.m. the Super-G, a high-speed descent with wide turns that tests racers' precision and control.
This will be followed by the awards ceremony at 12 noon.
- At 5pm the Dual Slalom, in which two athletes compete side by side on parallel courses in short, explosive elimination heats.
Followed by the awards ceremony at (approximately) 7 p.m.
Athletes must carefully manage their recovery and pace to perform well in two very different race formats, culminating in a spectacular night-time showdown.
As in previous editions, competitors must use the same bike for both events, with studded tires - within regulatory limits - permitted for better grip on snow.
Expect great battles for the UCI Snow Bike World Champion rainbow jersey in Châtel's spectacular winter setting and welcoming alpine atmosphere.
