Impact Playground: A highlights moment of freeskiing coming soon to Châtel

Châtel Snowpark is hosting a brand-new freestyle event from March 7 to 9 that promises to be a highlight of the season: Impact Playground. Three days of riding, creativity, and great vibes!
An event born from a true vision.

Behind Impact Playground is Tristan Iwulski. A freestyle enthusiast deeply rooted in the French and Swiss freestyle ski scene, he has spent years riding snowparks and connecting with fellow riders. Over time, one realization became clear to him: the talent is there, the facilities exist, but much of freeski’s true richness still remains in the shadows.

Rather than simply lamenting it, Tristan decided to take action. He envisioned six unique modules designed to unleash skiers’ creativity and provide them with a true playground for expression. A concrete response to this lack of visibility, driven by a simple belief: freestyle deserves to reclaim its true essence.

The jam spirit before competition, sharing before performance.

To ride these modules, Tristan brought together around twenty handpicked riders from across Europe. An international cast promising high-flying sessions, where each rider will bring their own style and creativity to the modules.

Twenty riders, six modules, three days. All the ingredients are in place for Impact Playground to make a lasting impression from its very first edition.

Among them, you’ll find notably:

  • Antti Ollila
  • Daniel Hanka
  • Joona Kangas
  • Paul Vieuxtemps
  • Joey Van der Meer
  • Matéo Socquet
  • Gilles Tinguely
  • Maël Collado
  • Yohan Lovey
  • Eleonora Ferrari
  • Mirco Ferrari
  • Lou Salopek
  • Guillaume Schutz
  • Cylian Cotto
  • Thibault Bezard
  • Adrien David

All of these skiers share the same vision of freestyle: one of authentic riding, focused on sharing and progression rather than performance at all costs.

Everything is set up on-site to fully enjoy the event: a bar, food stalls, and a DJ playing throughout the day. Plenty of ways to relax, eat well, and have a great time while enjoying the show in the best conditions.

The event is easily accessible by ski. From the center of Châtel, simply take the Super-Châtel gondola, then follow the Combe run to reach the snowpark lift. From the Linga, Pré la Joux, or Vonnes areas, access is via the Portes du Soleil chairlift, which takes you directly to the base of the snowpark.

And if you can’t be there in person, head over to the Instagram account @snowparkchatel to catch the best moves and experience the event as if you were there.

We extend a huge thank you to our partners K2, Vlou Snow, La Godille, Le Grizzli, Le Nazca, and La Buvette de l’Ortaz for their invaluable support.
